Emus4U Not Working

Emus4U is the latest app installer to be released as a way of providing some of the content we used to get from Cydia. In the last few months, jailbreaks have all but dried up, leaving a lot of users high and dry without any access to Cydia and their favorite tweaks. Not only that, there are also a high percentage of iOS users who want the features but don’t want to jailbreak and that’s where Emus4U [ about ] comes in.

Emus4u Errors :

Emus4u is currently being enjoyed by millions of people, most of whom have had no trouble. However, a few reports are coming in of a couple of common errors, all easy to fix though.

SSL Error :

The first is an SSL error, usually evident when you attempt to download Emus4u or an app that is in it. Fixing it is easy:

Method 1 :

  1. Shut Safari completely
  2. Make sure you have no open apps on your device
  3. Wait for a couple of minutes and then try the steps to download again

Method 2 :

If this fails, try this:

  1. Close Safari and make sure there are no apps open
  2. Shut off your iOS device
  3. Leave it off for a few minutes and then turn it back on again
  4. Now follow the steps to download again

Emus4U Crashes :

This is the next most common problem and this is also very easy to solve. The reason why Emus4U crashes is because of a certificate issue. Apple provides certificates to Enterprise owners so that their employees can download the enterprise app without needing to go to the app store. This is what enables an enterprise to download one app on many different devices. The developers of Emus4u use the expired certificate and this causes the issue.

When you open an app on your device, before it runs, the certificate must be checked. If the certificate has expired or is invalid, the app won’t run , exactly what happens with Emus4U.

How to Fix :

The developers of Emus4U do keep on top of this problem and continually renew the certificates but there is little you can do to stop it from happening. All you can do is, when it crashes, delete Emus4u form your device and then reinstall it.
